MRI after Sculptra and Radiesse. Worrying results - should I be scared? What should I do next? (photo)

It is difficult to give you the best advice without examining you.  If you have palpable, visible nodules, it is possible that these could be improved with injection of kenalog or 5-FU.  

What was the reason you did the MRI? do you have visible nodules? if not then they will eventually disappear and if they dont if there is no visible facial nodule I would not lose sleep over this. If however the nodules are visible, then they can be slowly injected with 5FU or steroids to soften them and make the appearance less visible.

I am sorry that you are having an adverse reaction to the product.  It will take time but it should dissolve on its own.  I would be careful about injecting anything else into the area at this time.  Please consult an expert in facial cosmetic injections for the best results. Best, Dr. Green

Dear HelpNeeded22,I am answering your question because it provides me an opportunity to once again profess my mantra of "everything that we do in life and in medicine has consequences."  The findings on the MRI are consistent with the consequences of receiving Sculptra and Radiesse treatments.  The unknowns here are; how much of the materials were injected and when; if you have visible nodules and an unsatisfactory cosmetic result; and what are your goals.  Abnormal signals on an MRI mean nothing.  Injection of steroids or 5FU can have their own consequences, so consider them carefully, if at all.  The good thing about temporary injectable fillers, such as Sculptra and Radiesse, is that if you are not satisfied with the result, or have an adverse event, the material will eventually be absorbed.  Good luck!
