I have 2 Mondor's cords. Should I still be doing my exercises? My doctor has my pushing to all sides.WiIll this effect the cord?

I have two small Mondor's Cords. I was taking a picture of my incision and was pulling up on the breast when I noticed it. When my breast is in normal position you can not see them.

The cords should resolve with time, warm soaks may help. Consult with your surgeon to determine further need for exercise, massage. Good luck!

You have to ask your surgeon if he wants you to perform displacement exercises while the Mondor's cords resolve.

Thank you for your question. You should continue to do as your surgeon instructs. Typically, the cords are limited and are either a little unsightly and/or painful; they resolve with time, and are due to the superficial veins at or near the incision. NSAIDS (like Motrin) can help with pain and inflammation, as can warm compresses. Best of luck!

Thanks for the question.  Mondors cord are benign and self limited.  They usually will improve with some NSAIDs and warm compresses.  You should stop your massages if they are causing pain, but I would discuss with your surgeon to see their preference.  Good Luck
