Liposuction after sleeve gastrectomy? (Photo)

Looking at only your photo, you will be good candidate for a tummy tuck once you get to your your goal weight.  Continue to lose weight and wait for your weight to be stable for 6 months before undergoing surgery.   Liposuction may lead to lax skin,  You may be disappointed with liposuction alone. Congratulations on going through with the sleeve gastrectomy.  Hopefully, over the next year, you will continue to slowly lose more weight.In terms of your question, liposuction does not tighten or firm skin, in any significant way.  Liposuction will actually make skin looseness worse.  So, I would not recommend it for your thigh problem area.

I think I would advise you against having liposuction at this time. In general I think it would be best to wait until the weight loss from the gastric procedure has stabilized.

First, lip does not lift the skin. Second, since you are early post-op from a sleeve, it is likely you will lose a lot more weight. Be patient.

Liposuction usually plays a minor role or no role at all after successful weight loss. Liposuction can remove unwanted fat but will not tighten skin. Skin tightening will occur spontaneously according to your genetic potential. For many after successful massive weight loss, the skin will not recover and surgical procedures to remove the excessive skin are the appropriate solution.

Body contouring after bariatric surgery is not recommended until you are at least 1 year out from your procedure and weight stable for 3 months. Doing anything before then will just be a waste of money, as you will continue to lose weight and may or may not sag. We don't know who after weight loss will go on to need certain body contouring procedure. Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity. Continue to watch what you eat and exercise and this will make you the best body contouring candidate a year after your surgery.
