Thank you for your question about Kybella. Kybella is FDA approved for treating submental fullness, and as far as I am aware there have not been any links to cancer, autoimmune diseases, etc. A few of the more severe risks with Kybella is nerve injury resulting in paralysis or uneven smile (all reported cases resolved with no permanent damage) or infection. Other symptoms that are more common would be pain, bruising, swelling, and numbness. Kybella is amazing and our patients have had great results. Kybella works great at dissolving fat as well as offering mild skin tightening as well. To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps
Thank you for your question. As has already been mentioned, Kybella has been FDA approved and therefore been deemed safe for use.
Yes, Kybella is FDA approved and safe. Both Kybella or neck liposuction are good options and will improve the double chin. It depends on your lifestyle and personality which would be better for you. Kybella is best for patients that:1) Do not want surgery 2) Are not surgical candidates 3) Not willing to wear a compression dressing around the face for 1 week 4) Patient- The results of Kybella will take monthsKybella take 1-3 treatments every 6 weeks. Patient will develop swelling and possible bruising after each injection that may last a few days. The benefit of Kybella is each treatment is quick and completed in the office. However, some patients need more than one treatment to get desired results. Neck Liposuction is best for patients that:1) Want a single treatment 2) One recovery time- Downtime for neck liposuction require wearing a wrap around face for 1 week. 3) Less painful 4) Quicker results 5) Cost is a concernNeck liposuction is a quick surgical procedure that can be complete while the patient is awake. It cost around the same price a Kybella and can be less in patients with heavier necks. The single recovery of neck liposuction may be a better option for some patients.
Kybella is FDA-approved and quite safe. Kybella is good for dissolving fat under the chin, but a combination approach with other treatments is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options. I recommend Kybella with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is the best alternative for contouring the chin. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Kybella was approved by the FDA for treatment of submental fat or fat under the chin and is deemed effective and safe by the FDA.
Kybella is FDA approved for reducing fat below the chin. This means that Kybella has undergone extensive testing to make sure it is safe for patients. If the Kybella is properly administered by a certified medical professional, you should not have much to worry about. Kybella uses deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that helps break down fat. It is does not cause cancer, autoimmune disorders or heart problems. That being said, if you have any questions or concerns about any procedure, there is no substitute for an in-person consultation with your doctor.
Kybella is the first only FDA approved non-surgical injectable fat dissolving treatment, There are no known long term side effects such as cancer, auto immune disorders or heart problems after having a kybella treatment.
Kybella is FDA approved and extremely safe if injected by an experienced board certified dermatologist. It works amazingly well for permanently reducing the fat under the chin. The main side effect is swelling in that area which is a normal part of the process. Please consult an expert in Kybella for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
After having undergone a rigorous evaluation by the FDA and thousands of subsequent treatments, there is no evidence that kybella causes cancer, autoimmune disorders, heart problems, or any other adverse health conditions. Also know that Kybella is a relatively simple analog of a bile salt, something that your GI tract produces routinely to break down fats that you eat.Best wishes! Harry V. Wright MD, Sarasota, Florida
Thank you for your question. Kybella is approved by the FDA for treatment of submental fat. This is the ultimate effectiveness and safety approval, and in my experience, there are even very few side effects. Those that do experience side effects often say they are mild and go away within a few weeks. You should contact a provider for an in-person consultation in order to get the best recommendation for yourself. I hope this helps. Best of luck to you!
