Intensif RF. Is it safe to take Vicodin and Valium together?

Vicodine is an opioid pain reliever and Valium is an anxiolytic. You should be completely fine if you have appropriate dosing applied. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures.

I don't think it is necessary to take oral medication for this procedure. Yes, the combination of these drugs can be risky if not properly monitored. A good topical anesthetic is all that is needed in most cases. If this doesn't work, injecting lidocaine can help. In the cases where this still isn't working, ProNox is helpful. Intensif uses uncoated needles and can be a risk for PIH in darker skin patients.I use Infini with coated needles.

Typically topical numbing cream is all that you need prior to a microneedling procedure. If a patient has a lot of anxiety about a treatment we offer in office ProNox, which is similar to laughing gas. This helps take some of the anxiety away and help you dissociate from any discomfort. It is safe to drive immediately afterwards as it is completely out of your system in 10 minutes. If you want to take your oral medications, I would suggest just one of them and make sure you have a driver take you home. 

Agree with Dr Weiner, both in terms of pain (I use Intensif and Infini), and the pain from Intensif is bearable with just plain old topical numbing gels.
