Microneedling with radio frequency is, without a doubt, in our practice, the best way to treat acne scarring. Simply nothing compares to it.  The series of slim gold disposable needles go through the skin to a depth of up to 3mm and shoot a column of radio frequency from the needle, leaving a zone of injury, which forces the body to generate collagen and contract the skin, both stretching and diminishing the acne scar during the repair process. Since most of the injury occurs below the epidermis, the technique can be used on all skin types.  By placing either platelet rich plasma or DefenAge on the needles, the result is enhanced.  We have three different types of these devices, and each has their advantages.  

You can do Fraxel or Secret RF. Neither of these treatments should be used if you have active acne. I would consult with your doctor before going for either of the treatments to confirm that you no longer have active acne.
