I can see the top edge of my breast implant, is this an issue? (Photos)

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  Though seeing or feeling your implant is not dangerous or concerning from a health point of view it may not result in a desirable appearance. Unfortunately without before images, the style and size of your implants, and truly knowing what level the implant is in, it is difficult to offer definite advice.  You may have a particularly thin muscle or overlying soft tissue that can be treated with use of a soft tissue matrix.  Seek out second opinions from local board certified plastic surgeons.

hi, if you are a very slim person and don't have well developed chest muscles, you will be able to feel the implant edge even when it has been put behind the muscle. This is not a concern. I would advice you to build up your chest muscles to improve their tone and mass. Hope this helps, warm regards Dr Prashant Murugkar

Congratulations on your breast augmentation. Pictures from the front would be helpful in answering your question. Typically when implants are out of the muscle the upper edge of the implant does not show. If you have noticed that the implant on that side does not move as freely and is not as soft you may be developing a capsular contracture. Please see her plastic surgeon for an examination and as the surgeon to specifically address this change. I do not think this is dangerous or represents a significant risk for you unless of course your surgeon detects a capsule.
