Hi, I recently did laser hair removal on full chest which includes breast. After I felt really hot around that area and was sweating. Is it safe for a female to do laser around that area?. My skin does not have any discoloration or marks or change of color. It was just that reaction. I also did underarms and bikini line on the same day. They used Candela, Alexandrite.
Answer: Hot during laser hair removal Some areas could be more sensitive than others. It doesn't sound like anything to be worried about. If you know that is a sensitive area, you can ask for ice to cool your skin after if it gets really hot.

Answer: The FDA wouldn't approve treatments that are dangerous. Thank you for your question! Everything sounds normal. The FDA wouldn't approve treatments that are dangerous. The laser hair removal energy does penetrate a shallow layer of skin which does cause a sensation of warmth. Your sweating was more than likely triggered by slight anxiety and not a direct effect from LHR. Best of luck!

Answer: Laser Hair Removal and Reaction It sounds as if you had a normal reaction to the laser hair removal. The Candela laser is a great laser and you can definitely have this sensitivity after the process. As long as you are not seeing any redness or signs of burns it is doubtful that you are having any serious reaction. Best, Dr. Green

Answer: Hot after LHR After your laser hair removal treatments, you may notice your skin is red and sensitive, similar to the look and feel of a sunburn. Your body was reacting to the laser energy that was used on your chest and breast areas. Within a few days you will notice this will fade on its own but it shouldn't affect your ability to work or perform any other normal activities. It is important to limit sun exposure, as the freshly treated skin will be highly sensitive to sunlight.
