My nipple area gets soft during heat and shrinks when in cold. Do I have Gynecomastia? (photo)

That is a tough question without an in person exam.  Gynecomastia feels like a nugget behind your areola.  Loose skin after your weight loss and a little bit of fat is also a possibility but hence the suggestion to be seen in person.  Congratulations!  I bet you feel great at your weight! 

Hi Cray,Nice job on the weight loss!  A lot of gynecomastia is simply related to extra weight.  Some of what you describe it normal. And, it is hard to say without examining you.  So feel if you have a central small area that is very firm, the size of a robin's egg, under each nipple area.  This could be gynecomastia.  Also, from you photos it appears to me you might benefit from the office procedure of CoolSculpting. Be sure to see only a board certified plastic

You have actually asked two questions.  Do you have gynecomastia?  Yes you do -- a mild case.  You can disguise it by wearing a snug compression shirt or you can elect to have surgery to remove it.  There are no diets or exercises that will do the job -- and there are no pills/lotions, etc which would work..As for the changes in the areolas -- that is a normal physiological change -- and will not change with any surgery. Man who were overweight may develop gynecomastia from the estrogen that is produce by the fatty cells. The only way to remove it is excision of the glandular tissue.Anything  else won't cure your problem. Your problem is classical for gynecomastia condition.

Wow!  Great job losing the weight. Nipples and areolas in general change size with the weather.  "Ala" shrinkage like the Seinfeld episode.  As for gynecomastia treatment you would need to be seen in person to see how much of what you describe is loose skin vs fat or gland.
