I been having a filler nightmare since may of last year. I got filler done in may and didn't like it and got it dissolved. It left my face flat. I went to an expert surgeon and he placed 1 syringe of restylane defyne in my face. Now my face looks wide and stretched out. It's been 4 months since it was place and my face is becoming flat again and it's still very wide. What do I do now?
Answer: Facial Contouring and Sculpting with Fillers (Juvederm Voluma, Vollure, Volbella, Radiesse, Bellafil), Implants, Sculptra or fat So sorry to hear about your filler nightmare. I highly recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert to create a personalized treatment plan that works for you. Facial sculpting and contouring of the face can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are also alternatives. Best of luck, Dr. Emer

Answer: Facial Contouring & Reshaping With Fillers Requires Experienced, Expert Injectors & Robust Volumizing Fillers First, let me say that I am sorry that you have been having these difficulties. The two non-smiling photos suggest flattening of the upper face and a wide lower face. Although photos are seldom a substitute for an in-person examination that allows for palpation and manipulation of the skin, these at-rest photos suggest that you might benefit from the appropriate placement of a volumizing filler in the upper cheekbone region, which would serve not only to create a more feminine upper face, but would likely provide sufficient lift to taper the lower face creating overall the more ideal heart-shaped face. In my NY office I would choose Voluma XC for this purpose. Voluma XC is a robust volumizing filler that may last up to two years when placed in this location. In my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved injectable volumizers are available, I would opt for Stylage XXL. Facial contouring and reshaping with volumizing fillers is an advanced injection technique that should not be left to the hands of novice injectors. You would be wise to make sure that consult with an experienced board certified aesthetic physician and make certain to ask to see his/her personal before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.

Answer: No, topical products do not have the ability to be this intense and would not work this way. Thank you for your question! No, topical products do not have the ability to be this intense and would not work this way. So no. What is MORE likely is that the Restylane you had done is going away and you are returning to baseline.

Answer: Fillers Hi there. Thanks for your question. A couple of things to consider...if filler was place last May (the Defyne by the surgeon), it is POSSIBLE that it's just time for more filler. Our bodies break it down and this far out, you may just be metabolizing it. I tell my patients that fillers tend to last for about a year depending on the amount, type of filler, placement, and your metabolism! Additionally, when the filler was dissolved, it likely also "dissolved" some of your natural hyaluronic acid in the area, so that will take a while to all grow back From the pictures provided, first, know that you were beautiful before your fillers and you're STILL beautiful now! Be reassured that the changes are subtle to the eye even though they seem huge and neon to you! With filler, placement is everything. I think that some well-placed filler in the lateral cheek to add contour (not volume) would help you feel like your normal beautiful self again. And 1mL doesn't always make a super-de-duper dramatic result. Remember that 1mL is 1/5 of a teaspoon! And while we're very efficient with it, it's still 1/5 of a teaspoon at the end of the day! When doing cheeks, I generally start with 1mL on each side. I wish you all the best and can't wait to see your next results! @DrKatNP.trilogy
