Being exposed to the sun and high temperature. Would it do any damage to my nose?

Thank you for your question.  After any facial operation, we caution patients about sun exposure.  For some period of time the treated area will be more susceptible to sun exposure.  It may be easier to burn your skin, and you may be at more risk for hyper pigmentation (irregular brown spots).  We usually recommend limited sun exposure for 4 months after rhinoplasty.  That does not mean you cannot go outside, but you should take precautions.  Wear a good sun screen and reapply per manufacturer directions.  Apply the sun screen to your entire face - not just the nose.  If you are going to be out a long time, especially if you are near water, you should wear a hat and be extra careful.  Have fun.

At 2.5 months after a rhinoplasty you should be able to do almost anything. But I would caution you about sunbathing.  The skinny be very sensitive and sunblock should be applied.
