Thank you very much for this interesting question.Swelling time after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity (Ex.: Rhinoplasty with nasal controled nasal bones fracture (osteotomy) will have greater inflammation than one in which only the nasal tip treatment). But, generally the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months. To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
The nose appears deviated because left side is more concave. It is not swelling at this stage. It can be improved by injecting a filler on the concave side. Wait for one year after that to get a cartilage graft for permanent straightening. RegardsDr.J
It may be both, but is definitely is swollen at three months. It can take a full year or longer to settle down.
mani7, unfortuneately all of these post op questions in patients that are less than 6-9 months post op are really difficult if not impossible for any other physician to assess just by looking at a photo or photos. We have no idea what the surgeon did during surgery, if your post op course was normal, what your nose feels like (which is the most important) etc. So you need to F/U with your surgeon and if you are still unhappy after at least 9 months schedule an appointment with an experienced surgeon who does "only faces". Good luck!
It's impossible to say if you should be worried without seeing your nose and knowing what suture was pulled. I'd check in with your surgeon as that is who is best able to guide you and assess things.

Thank you for your question. It would be quite unusual for smiling to cause any alteration in the changes your surgeon made. Sutures should not be placed so delicately that normal facial expressions are going make them fail. Additionally, the tape/splint that is placed after surgery no...
