Thank you for your question. Fatty foods will not help your butt grow but foods high in protein will contribute to proper gains. Follow up with your surgeon with any further questions.
Dear sbatine94,generally speaking, you want to reach your goal weight before you consider a BBL surgery, otherwise your results will be suboptimal if you continue to lose weight after the surgery or if you gain weight. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
I recommend that my patients take 100 grams of protein each day during the healing phase for the first six weeks following surgery. This protein can be in the form of manufactured premier protein shakes or optimum whey protein added to milk or water. The objective is not weight gain but promotion of healing. All the best!
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I don't think eating too fatty foods will help but yes high on protein and healthy fat servings like: avocado, nuts, cheese, olive oil, etc :)Hope this helps, good luck,Dr. Luis Mejia.
Hello and thank you for your question. After liposuction/BBL, you should continue to have a healthy lifestyle with balanced diet and exercise to maintain your bodyweight. Eating unhealthy food after liposuction/BBL will only increase your weight and ruin your results. I would seek consultation with a board-certified plasticsurgeon for a full evaluation and advice. Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. After a BBL, your weight behives the same way as before. So the answer is yes, if you gain a considerable amount of weight, the results of your surgery will be affected; this is why you should try to eat healthy and exercise on a regular basis, so you can maintain the results long term.If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
The best way to maintain the results of your cosmetic surgery is eat healthy and stay consistent with a exercise regiment. In sum, avoid excessive weight gain. Otherwise, the only way to 'grow' the results of your BBL is working out. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Over eating will make you overweight. Doesn’t matter if you’re eating carbohydrates or fatty foods. One type of food will not preferentially cause certain parts of your body to gain weight differently. Most people don’t look good being overweight and I suggest staying lean and being healthy.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
Thank you for your question. After the Brazilian Butt Lift procedure, I recommend a diet high in protein and fiber. After 6 weeks, I recommend that you return to a regular exercise routine. The goal is to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. It is never a good idea to gain weight before or after the procedure. The best method is to stay as close to your ideal weight as possible. Good luck with your recovery.
Thank you for your question. The answer to this can vary with each office. However, most surgeons will require that you are in good health with no medical conditions that could affect your surgery or recovery. You may be required to do lab work prior to the procedure. If you are a smoker, it is ...
Thanks for your question. At my practice, the max Body Mass Index (BMI) limit for a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is 35. If you are planning on doing a tummy tuck and a BBL separately, it makes sense to do the tummy tuck first. Then 4-5 months later, a BBL can be performed. The reason being that if...
A low WBC count can be a sign of active infection or immune system problems. It is best to see your PCP for evaluation on the cause of your slightly low WBC count before undergoing elective plastic surgery such as a BBL.
