Hi, I'm 20 y/o, 5.7, 270 pounds, and getting the gastric sleeve. I also want to get a brow lift, since my brows are very low and make my eyes look very hooded. That being said, my question is: Should i get the brow lift once i lose a significant amount of weight? Or would the weight loss not affect it? TIA.

Answer: Will Dramatic Weight Loss Affect A Brow Lift? The position of your eyebrow is primarily a function of the anatomic structures of the forehead and periorbital area, particularly, the ligaments and fascia (muscle covering sheath) in this region. The position of your eyebrow should not be changed significantly by your weight loss.

Answer: Planning your procedures with weight loss Hello and thank you for posting your question and photo! Significant weight loss can affect the tissue of your entire body, including your face. Specifically when considering a browlift procedure, the brow position is not likely to change significantly with weight loss as there is not a significant subcutaneous fat component in the upper face/lateral brow area. You could certainly wait to undergo the procedure to be sure, but I would typically counsel my patients that the brow is unlikely to change much after weight loss. The best approach would be to seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who has a particular interest in body contouring after weight loss. Best wishes in your journey!
