Is it possible to develop a “flat spot” on a silicone implant? (photos)

Hello,Periareolar incisions are a bad idea. They increase the risk of capsular contracture and they unnecessarily injure breast tissue, which can lead to scar related shape issue, as they have done to you. Tethered periareolar scarring can be treated with aggressive internal scar management and fat grafting (SAFElipo), but may require more than one attempt. Tell your friends that breast augmentation should be performed through an inframammary incision only.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

I believe the depressed area you are referring to is from scarring and not implant related.  It appears your incision was around the areola which means the surgeon had to dissect through all of your breast tissue to create the pocket/space to place the implant.  When this tissue healed, the scarring inside the breast has "pulled" the tissue into this flat appearing area.  Yours is very mild and I personally would just leave it alone.  A scar revision procedure could be performed, but it could also worsen the scarring.Good Luck!
