Dark red skin after co2 laser. What should I do? (photo)

Erythema (redness) two weeks after a CO2 treatment is not uncommon and to be expected.  This is a temporary finding and will slowly fade.  Hyperpigmentation is another potential complication, albeit temporary.  If you experience hyperpigmentation, be sure to speak to your laser specialist about getting on hydroquinone.

This is common and will resolve, give it more time. If it doesnt , then consider IPL to make it go away quicker

I tell my patients they will be red for 4-6 weeks, and sometimes even longer, after a CO2 treatment.  It is very important that you keep the area well protected with sunscreen, because you don't want additional damage to this area.  There are products (such as Vitamin K serums) that can help to decrease reds a bit faster than they will fade on their own.  Some laser procedures will also help, but I don't recommend doing these until at least 8 weeks after the treatment.I think you should be fine - just be patient and hang in there!

aspects of aging in a single treatment. Redness can persist for several weeks after a treatment and typically lasts longer when the parameters are more aggressive. For our patients we treat redness with IPL at 4 weeks after the treatment if necessary. Please

There can be persistent redness after CO2 laser resurfacing. I suspect you actually had fractional laser, as your skin looked normal 1 week after your first treatment.  If the second treatment is done soon after the first, you will almost always stay red a little longer. This would be normal and will go away, perhaps in a few more weeks.
 Changing the density on the settings will make a difference.  If the density was increased, this means the treatment was more aggressive and therefore your skin will stay red longer. The more/the bigger the increase, the redder you will be, and the longer it will last.   
The good news is that generally a more aggressive treatment will give a better end result. And this should fade on its own.  There are things that can be done later, if it does not go away on its own, such as IPL. This however should not be done right away.
Protect the red area from sun so you do not get hyperpigmentation. Follow up with your Dr. if it does not improve.

This is very common, in fact universally seen with fully ablative CO2 in the past. The tighter the density the longer the redness. This will fade in the next 4 to 6 weeks, the use of lasers such as V BEAM or other vascular lasers can quicken recovery. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane . Australia. 

The redness will subside over time.  There are steroid creams available to help with the redness.  Ask your surgeon if he recommends any treatment products to assist in the healing.
