Hello, I had my second co2 laser procedure two weeks ago, it was done on my acne scars near chin area. The healing after first treatment was very good, after one week my skin looked normal. During the secend treatment doctor has changed one parameter of the laser (?density of lattice to 0,4 mm?). Right now my skin has dark red color (two weeks past), and it doesnt look to fade away (it looks the same on the other side of my face).

Answer: Redness after CO2 I tell my patients they will be red for 4-6 weeks, and sometimes even longer, after a CO2 treatment. It is very important that you keep the area well protected with sunscreen, because you don't want additional damage to this area. There are products (such as Vitamin K serums) that can help to decrease reds a bit faster than they will fade on their own. Some laser procedures will also help, but I don't recommend doing these until at least 8 weeks after the treatment.I think you should be fine - just be patient and hang in there!

Answer: Redness after fractional CO2 Thank you for your question Raf1234. I am sorry to hear about your situation. Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is an outstanding treatment that can address multiple aspects of aging in a single treatment. Redness can persist for several weeks after a treatment and typically lasts longer when the parameters are more aggressive. For our patients we treat redness with IPL at 4 weeks after the treatment if necessary. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
