Will it be safe to dance a month after rhinoplasty?

I would not be concerned. I allow patients to
engage in intense activity 1 week after surgery. My only warning is to avoid possible
contact injuries, such as a sport like volleyball. If there is some chance of
getting hit, I would wait 6 weeks. Thanks for your question.

Dear mm98, We advise our patients to take 3 weeks off of strenuous activity while they heal from their nasal procedure. At 1 month, you should be fine to resume dancing. Our concern would be if you were to get hit directly during practice. You would have to be very careful about that. I would confirm all this information with your operating surgeon and see what his opinion is. Good luck!

Routine dance moves should not be a problem at four weeks after your surgery.  However, your nose may be more susceptible to trauma, both the bones and cartilage for 6-8 weeks after your surgery.  You can wear a protective nasal mask for awhile after your surgery to avoid any injury.  You can find those on Amazon.  Good luck.

At 1 month after rhinoplasty majority of the healing of nasal bones has happened and they are quite strong.  The concern is not as much excessive dancing and exercise but a direct hit on the nose during the dense rehearsals.  As long as you are careful you should be fine.RegardsDr. J

Thank you for your question.It is best to avoid any strenous activities or contact sports for a good 8 weeks post rhinoplasty. Any direct trauma to your nose after a rhinoplasty procedure could really compromise your outcome.Kind regards.

I prefer in most instances to have patients avoid vigorous activity for about 6 weeks. You still will be swollen and this will be exacerbated by activity.

I wouldn't risk doing anything too strenuous in which you might bump your nose until at least 6 weeks postoperatively. Discuss this with your surgeon. You have gone through enough already so it is not worth the potential to compromise your result, unless this is your one dance routine chance of a lifetime :)
