It is common for patients to experience significant bruising and firmness, as well as soreness, following fat transfer to the breast. These are in part due to the trauma associated with the procedure and your body's response. The pain and soreness will gradually lessen. Most of the bruising and swelling (resulting in firmness) will resolve within the first few to 6-8 weeks. Nonetheless, to ensure that healing is progressing normally, it is always best to continue to follow up with your plastic surgeon so that he/she can continue to monitor you. Best wishes. 

fat transfer procedures have fairly drastic changes during the recovery. I don't think anyone can give you an accurate assessment based on the information supplied. I don't think anyone can give you an accurate assessment based on the information supplied.I would highly recommend simply following up with your plastic surgeon. He or she can examine you and give you some assurance to what's going on.Considering the bruising is even on both sides this is probably not a hematoma but rather diffuse bleeding through at your tissues.   The amount of bruising is a bit more than I typically see in my patients but I perform at my procedures using local anesthesia  and sedation which tends to leave substantially less bruising. Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
