Had 280cc implants 6 months ago (but dislike that I can’t do so many activities now) so want them taken out and fat transferred. Wouldn’t be any fat to take from my abs/flanks, as I just had that lipo’d. Thank you!
Answer: 129lbs, 5’4”, no kids. Do I have enough fat for 250cc of fat transfer, to each breast? In general, 200 cc per breast is typically the upper limit of fat injection recommended by most plastic surgeons. It is not that more cannot be injected; but on average, this has been determined to be the most that can be expected to live during one transfer. Fat transfer to the breast could improve the fullness of the breast, particularly at the top of the breast. If you want more than a one cup size increase, this may require multiple treatments to reach the size you desire. You have to consider not only which areas will have perhaps the best fat, but also you have to consider which donor sites will have the fewest problems afterward with the liposuction. In general, the abdomen and thighs are preferred, but, if those sites are not available, other areas can be used.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Fat You would need to be examined to see what is fat and not skin or muscle. Just based on your photos, you probably do not have enough fat to achieve the same size as with implants with one transfer. I would suggest discussing your concerns with your doctor.

Answer: Fat You may be on the boarderline for having enough fat. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified, Double Fellowship-Trained Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Fat transfer to breasts Dear Lucinda1234, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination but based on your photos, it looks like you might have enough fat to consider fat transfer to breasts. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Implant removal and fat grafting Excellent questions. My first question is why can't you do your activities? I will usually let my patients return to full chest activities 6 months after an augmentation. If a patient is an extreme weightlifter or cross-fit competitor, then we discuss the risks and benefits of placing the implants above the muscle. 2- In order to have about a 280 cc filling with fat you would need about 600-700 ccs of fat removed. I am not sure that you have that much. |It is best to talk with a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.
