It would not be advised to have cosmetic facial surgery 1 week after rhinoplasty. It would be reasonable to consider doing both at the same time to be able to recover simultaneously and have only one anesthesia event. But doing the blepharoplasty/brow lift one week after the rhinoplasty would be more difficult as the nose would be very swollen at this point and would make operating in the same vicinity more difficult.
The swelling from browlift will effect the rhinoplasty result and delay the healing. It is best to give at least 3 months after a rhinoplasty before you do a browlift.RegardsDr. J
You should wait 6-8 weeks. The nose will be swollen and two anesthesia events for elective surgery should be separated. I would not combine the procedures as there is a risk of “seeding” infection.
Although one could undergo browlift and blepharoplasty a week after rhinoplasty, it would be too early for most patients to achieve their ideal result and to minimize post-operative complications. Most patients still have significant facial swelling one week after rhinoplasty. In this serting, it would be difficult for even the best surgeon to accurately assess and measure the amount of upper eyelid tissue to remove, and the extent to which the patient’s brow should be lifted.
If you just had a Rhinoplasty, I would suggest you wait at least 6 to 9 weeks before considering a brow lift and Blepharoplasty. Why not have them at the same setting. The longest recovery is the nose. You could recover from all surgeries at the same time.
Hi and welcome to our forum!Congratulations on your recent surgery. The full rhinoplasty procedure involves the separation of the nasal skeleton from the overlying and underlying tissues, as well as most likely fracturing the nose. This will cause significant swelling and bruising of the eyelids, which will distort these tissues, making it impossible to accurately determine the amount of skin and fat to remove from the lids only 1 week later. On the other hand, if you only underwent a tip rhinoplasty, there most likely wouldn't be interference.Speak with your surgeon. Only after examination can he / she offer advice.Best wishes...
Although there may be a degree of bruising it is usually not visible after 10 days by which time most patients are able to return to work. Any pain is usually mild, short-lived, and easily controlled with simple analgesics. I do not use nasal packs but a small plastic nose splint is worn for one...
There can still be significant swelling at 6 weeks, even if it feels firm there is callous formation and bone remodeling ongoing. You should wait a full 12 even 18 months and then reassess the potential need for revision at that point. I take immediate post op photos to show my patients...
Occasionally, the internal sutures inside the nose and come loose and an incision slightly open. If small diced cartilage is in the area, it's possible that some can come out. If only a small amount of cartilage comes out, it should not have a significant impact on your result. If the op...
You have to wait for a year to use them following your operation. Hope this helps! Best, S.Emre Üregen,MD
Like Most surgeons, I do not like placing silicone in the dorsum of caucasians, especially those with thin skin because there is an unacceptably high extrusion rate. The first choice of cartilage would probably be your septum. The second would be your ear cartilage if the septal cartilage is no ...
It appears that your septal cartilage is deviated into your nostril. Evaluating the rest of your nose in person would be helpful to determine the best approach to your concerns. Fortunately, there should be good options to improve this for you. Once a definitive plan is made it will de...
