Been bothered by my deep labiomental fold and aesthetics of my facial profile for some time. What is my Best Option? (photo)

I'm male, 19y.o., quite bothered about my chin aesthetics, espeically my unpleasant-looking labiomental fold. I have a slight overbite (the top teeth are overlapping around 50% of my bottom teeth) and apparently this isnt something that absolutely needs correction. Could it be the cause of my LMF? Also, I don't know if I have a weak chin or an undeveloped lower jaw and if it actually can deepen my LMF even more. Is everything seems alright with both my chin and jaw?

A maxillary overbite and weak chin lead to a deep labiomental fold due to the folding over of the upper lip and a recessed anterior mandibular vestibule. Chin augmentation will actually make it even deeper. Adding soft tissue volume through fat injections is the only really successful treatment.

Chin implants are manufactured in a variety of sizes and shapes, are composed of Silastic, and are inserted through a sub mental approach under local anesthesia.

Hi,You can fix this problem by seeing an orthodontist and a maxillofacial surgeon who will align your teeth and then advance you lower jaw. That will fix the fold issue and your dental problems. Good Luck.Julian
