Can I get a BBL if I possibly have a small hernia? (Photo)

Question

I’ve always had a partial outtie belly button I can remember since I was 6. I don’t think it’s a hernia. But honestly I’m not sure. Never any pain or anything. Would this effect my BBL?

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, it is possible to get BBl if you have hernia. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Examination by a plastic surgeon and/or general surgeon should be able to diagnosis a umbilical/ belly button hernia.  Frequently hernias are repaired at the same time as a tummy tuck.  The hernia can be also be repaired during the same procedure as liposuction for the BBL.

Hello, thank you for your question. I think that hernias should be avoided. However, if you would like to  the hernia can be repair during the surgery. but the result for a BBL is really a function of how aggressively the surgeon will liposuction and transfer. Most patients get an immense benefit with maximal liposuction of the abdomen, sides, and back to obtain the smallest waist possible and then maximal fat transfer to the buttocks and hips. I recommend you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

In this regard, I recommend you waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour.
Finally, I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and butt projection, is that we know as "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL).

An outie bellybutton is technically an umbilical hernia.Most plastic surgeons are probably comfortable doing abdominal liposuction with your very small umbilical hernia.Some may require or recommend having it corrected first.I would personally not have an issue doing Liposuction based on a small umbilical hernia.
