I have used .05% tretinoin cream every night and have been very happy with the results. Balancing dryness from tretinoin?

there is hardly anything as "best moisturizer" its a matter of trying a few and then deciding on one or 2. and then switching as needed. best is to get in touch with your dermatologist and see what else you can do in order to counter the facial dryness that you're experiencing. 

I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist to get you on a long term plan with lasers, microneedling/prp, Cosmelan, peels, facials and skin care. Best, Dr. Emer.

An overly dry and flakey skin is a regular 'complaint' from compliant users of tretinoin and I recommend water-based creams or lotions to help counteract the dryness.  You may also benefit from reducing your daily application of tretinoin to every other day and/or reduce the prescription to 0.025%.  Ensure that you use a good daily sunblock and seek the advice of a good dermatologist locally. If possible, have a VISIA skin analysis to monitor the effects of tretinoin on your skin.

At our practice we use Dermoelectroporation therapy for improving skin hydration.  Basically, the therapy pushes larger molecules such as collagen and Hyaluronic acid deeper into the skin  where topical creams and serums could not go with just simple application.  We use a specially formulated Devoted Collagen Perfect Serum with Hyaluronic Acid.  It's a weekly treatment that feels like a facial massage and in between sessions you use the serum once daily.  The retinoin therapy will dry the skin and this treatment can counteract that process by hydrating the skin and deeper skin tissue.  I hope this helps
