I will be getting bbl in one month and wanted to know if I should use sculptra as a way to get the volume I know will be loss due to reabsorption. How many vials would be necessary? Is Prp an option as well?
Answer: Sculptra HiGood questionI would say wait on Sculptra until your butt heals after BBL. This can take 3-6 months to see final results. Sculptra can be used to add slightly more volume.

Answer: How Soon After BBL Can I Get Sculptra? Sculptra Can Optimize BBL Results It takes about 2 weeks for most of the healing to take place after a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), but fat cells are lost over the next few months. It is said that the fat cells that survive 6 months post op, will live forever. Therefore, waiting until 6 months would be ideal. Many patients don’t like to wait that long, but I would suggest at least a 2 month waiting period to allow the transplanted fat to establish a blood supply. At that time, as long as your swelling has subsided, Sculptra can be used to create smooth contours and extra lift. For those who wish to forego surgery altogether, Scluptra can even serve as a mini-BBL, creating a slight lift and beautiful contours. As far as the number of vials needed, that would depend on your current anatomy and how drastic a change you’d like to make. I always use diluted Sculptra in the buttocks area. Please find a board-certified dermatologist to evaluate you for Sculptra to enhance your BBL.

Answer: How soon after BBL can I get Sculptra to make up for the 30-50% volume loss Thank you for sharing your excellent question. Though I can understand your rationale I would allow the BBL to take place and fully heal before entertaining the use of Sculptra. Sculptra will create inflammation which can further injure the fat cells on transfer causing greater resorption. Hope this helps.

Answer: Should I get Sculptra with my BBL or soon afterwards. This is a very interesting question. I believe that in the future, we will be injection Sculptra with BBL as well as PRP, and stem cells. There is no research but it make sense. Results of the BBL are multifactorial and depend on the surgeon, amount of fat used, your medical condition, and your compliance with the post operative instructions. At this point, bring it up with your doctor and see what he says. Otherwise, I would wait for the full results which occur at about 6-9 months.
