Are Natrelle and gummy bear implants the same thing?

Are the natrells and gummy bear implants the same thing or is Natrelle a brand name? I tried looking it up, but of course still confused. Also, what is the specific name if I wanted silicone gel and are silicone gels just as natural as gummy bear implants but hold better?

Thanks for your question.  The term "gummy bear" doesn't mean the same thing to every person.  Some people refer to only teardrop-shaped, form-stable implants as gummy bear implants, and others refer to any implant with a thick, cohesive silicone filling as a gummy bear implant.  Natrelle implants are available in 3 gel types, called Responsive (Truform I in Canada), Soft Touch (Truform II), and Cohesive (Truform III).  The newest Cohesive style has the thickest, most "gummy bear-like" gel.   I hope this helps.

L is the name brand for most Allergan implants. These range from saline implants  to silicone implants of different silicone types. They have a number of different silicone gel fills, and most of these are considered the so-called gummy bear type.

Thanks for your question. It is confusing out there! Basically, “gummy bear” means a gel filled implant. Most implant companies (including Natrelle) offer 1) saline and 2) silicone. So you can call any brand’s gel filled implants “gummy.” Hope that helps you. Make sure you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.
