I'm interested in having a breast augmentation and would prefer over the muscle placement subfascial but was told I can't have it if I have congenital symmastia. My sister has it and I was wandering if I have it too. Please let me know, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
Answer: Symmastia From the submitted photos it doesn't appear you have symmastia. You should have a nice result from breast augmentation. I've included a video on the procedure I hope you find helpful.

Answer: Congenital symmastia Dear 838383karina, based on your photos, it looks like you don't have congenital symmastia. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Symmastia? Based upon your photos, there is no evidence of a symmastia. Symmastia is typically defined by an absence of cleavage and a medial confluence of breast tissue, I would not let these concerns keep you from exploring surgery. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

Answer: Congenital symmastia? Your photos do not suggest the presence of symmastia. I would expect the placement to be safe in either location, but I would favor going under the muscle.
