Hello, In mid 2023 I had a lower facelift and have been concerned with the scarring it has left. Any suggestions?

Answer: IL ken/5FU and zapping to the rescue. Intralesional injections of steroid and 5FU will melt down the scar and zapping with the electric needle to get rid of the little broken capillaries will make a huge improvement.

From the photos provided, it appears that there are some elevated portions. These can be flattened with intralesional anti-inflammatory injections. For the general texture irregularities and any color irregularities, professionally performed manual microneedling (no need for the added expense and risks of RF microneedling) can be performed. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist scar specialist and best of luck. .

Answer: Face lift scar management Since you are one year after face lift surgery your scars are considered mature and very likely will not improve much. Scar treatment by means of corticosteroid injection and scar revision should be discussed with your surgeon. Good luck.
