Ive had two lip lifts and I love my current philtrum length and incisor show. I'll love my results even more if I got the look where I gently lift my lip up with my finger to make it pouty. I heard lip filler always eventually weighs the lip down and hides teeth show, but I also hear it can evert the lips if done correctly. Is this true ? And if true, will impending migration eventually weigh it down over time, even if it is everted immediately post-injection? Thanks!!
Answer: Could help to evert Hi there, A small amount of lip filler could help to evert the upper lip. You could also consider a small amount of wrinkle relaxer like Botox to slightly lift the upper lip when you smile. This treatment does come with risks which you should discuss with an experienced cosmetic injector and an in person consultation will be necessary to ensure you are suitable for the treatment. Thanks and take care.

Answer: Impact of Lip Fillers on Philtrum Length and Teeth Visibility Lip fillers can have varying effects on the appearance of the lips and the surrounding areas, such as the philtrum and the visibility of teeth. Here are some key points to consider: Eversion vs. Elongation: Lip fillers, when administered correctly, can help evert the lips, giving them a fuller and more pouty appearance. A skilled injector can focus on techniques that enhance the pout without significantly elongating the philtrum or reducing teeth show. Philtrum Length and Teeth Show: The effect of lip fillers on philtrum length and teeth show largely depends on the amount and placement of the filler. Overfilling or incorrect placement can potentially weigh down the lips, which might elongate the philtrum and reduce teeth visibility. Migration Concerns: Filler migration is a potential risk, which can cause changes in the appearance of the lips over time. This is why choosing an experienced practitioner is crucial, as they can minimize this risk with proper technique and product choice. Maintenance and Adjustments: Regular follow-ups with your injector can help manage and adjust the results over time, ensuring that the desired look is maintained and that any migration or unwanted effects are addressed promptly. Consultation with a Specialist: It's important to have a detailed consultation with a qualified and experienced injector who can assess your specific anatomy and aesthetic goals. They can tailor the treatment plan to enhance your lips without compromising the features you love, like your philtrum length and incisor show. Overall, while there is a risk of elongation or reduced teeth show with lip fillers, these outcomes are not inevitable. With careful planning and expert technique, it is possible to achieve the desired pouty appearance without compromising other aspects of your lip aesthetics.

Answer: More information needed Lip fillers add weight. Also, they seem to increase more anterior projection. Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs but you may benefit from a repeat lip lift. More information is needed to give you a more accurate answer. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Question about lip, fillers What you heard is when lip fillers are done incorrectly. There’s not enough lip filler to pull down on your lips to create any kind of those effects. I hope this helps and good luck from Leonard Grossman M.D. organic Plastic Surgery
