Am I a candidate genioplasty/jaw surgery or implant?

There are several components when thinking about jaw surgery, and it is not really done for only aesthetic reasons. If however it was medically necessary, then it would help to improve your profile. Aside from jaw surgery, you are a great candidate for a genioplasty. This would not only improve your recessed chin, but it would lengthen you jawline and tighten the lose skin in that area. It would bring more balance to your profile. You may also consider jawline liposcuplting (which would create more jawline definition) or buccal fat removal (which would remove some cheek fullness and lift weight off the jowls). All of these could be done at the same time, but you may want to start with the genioplasty first, because that might give you the results you are looking for by itself.

A sliding genioplasty is the preferred procedure for your short chin. (not jaw surgery) As the chin bone moves forward it will lengthen the bony jawline and help smooth out the neck and even the jowls a bit. (it will not do anything for sagging cheeks) Combining the sliding genioplasty with submental and jowl liposuction will enhance the chin augmentation effect.
