Hi- I've had two rounds of coolsculpting under my chin but still have no definition in my jaw and the minute I move my face back have a huge double chin. This is mostly genetic as it was like this even when I was thinner. I also have jaw issues (TMJ, malocclusion - top front teeth hitting bottom front teeth) and will start invisalign soon. What else can be done? Liposuction? implant? Why is my jaw so undefined?
Answer: Neck lift It appears on these photos, that beside some superficial fat deposits above the platysma muscle, you also may have deep deposits of fat underneath the muscle. While superficial fat in the neck can be corrected with good liposuction, deep fat needs to be shaped with open approach by means of neck lift. Rearangement of the fat pads, possibly bulky digastic muscles, and rearangement of platysma muscle can be acomplished throught a small incision underneath the chin. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in face and neck lifts, is recommended. Good

Answer: Needs surgery In person examination is crucial here to determine if it's just subcutaneous fat and a little skin laxity (which could be treated with liposuction and radiofrequency skin tightening) or if the laxity/excess is enough that a neck lift procedure would be indicated. Based on your photographs, I suspect the latter. Find a plastic surgeon you like and be evaluated in person.
