Would I benefit from Kybella? Receded jawline/weak chin (Photo)

Thank you for your question and photos. Based on the photos you provided, an option to look at would be dermal fillers to help sculpt the chin and face through facial optimization. Basically, a provider would do an extensive 3D analysis of your facial structures and then add dermal fillers strategically to help provide contouring. Kybella is great if there is some excess fat tissue in the chin area but that would need to be palpated to see if there is indeed fat present or mostly muscle.

I have treated many patients with simply dermal fillers, dermal fillers and kybella, PDO threads or a combination of the three. Each person is unique and that's where seeing a qualified provider who will make sure to keep the integrity of the features you like (such as your heart-shaped frontal view) and adjust the areas you don't like.

A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall appearance of the lower face and balancing the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline and improve the chin crease.

Thank you for your question and photos. I am not seeing much submental fat under the chin in your images. Kybella targets fat cells, so if this is not your primary concern, I don't believe Kybella would have much effect for you. On the other hand, your chin is quite recessed. It is common to perform a rhinoplasty and chin augmentation at that same time, since these two key features tend to set the proportions for the entire facial profile. While I understand your concern about augmenting your chin, rest assured chin implants come in many shapes and sizes.An experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon will be able to customize your entire surgical plan to create a look that is proportionate, balanced, and quite feminine.

Kybella could be a good option to eliminate the fat around your jawline. If you want to add more definition you can also add a jawline and possibly chin filler once the fat is gone.

Hello, and thanks for your question. Kybella will get rid of fat in areas you do not want fat, which can in turn sculpt your jawline. The amount of vials depends on how many milligrams are in each vile. Since there are only side profile pictures, it is difficult to tell exactly what you would need. You can get filler in your chin if you want more of a sculpted chin without the permanent implant. Please see a board-certified surgeon for best results. Best of luck to you!
