After four babies my stomach and belly button were stretched out saggy yuck. There was so much loose skin I was contemplating a mommy makeover but really didn’t want surgery. I walked into light rx near my office in Dana park in Mesa. Whoa! I didn’t realize all the non surgical options to reverse aging and improve the appearance of face and body. I dropped $800 for legacy skin tightening and began the treatments, eight weekly 20 minute treatments that are completely painless and not uncomfortable. I could tell a difference after the first four treatments and now, after eight, I may actually wear a bikini in public. I’m so happy with this natural, non surgical results. The staff and doctor at light rx are incredible. I’m quite sure I will use them for every possible improvement. If you don’t want to DUCOMB to aging or embrace aging and want to do it as gracefully as possible go see my girls at light rx. Updated on 30 Jun 2018:
So I’ve been spending a lot of time at lightrx over the last few months and Dr. MK let me know they were offering a new procedure she was pretty excited about that involved micro needling, PRP, umbilical cord stem cells, and a chemical peel. It’s pricey! $5k, but reduces the need for fillers and offers long term results. I went to an open house and heard about the various benefits and signed up. In the week leading up to the treatment, they gave me vitamins and a facial serum to use to prime the skin. I used the serum on my face but not my neck. On the day of the treatment, she drew blood to spin out the platlets and applied a numbing cream. I thawed the stem cells in my hand and then she loaded the Vaccuum microneedle machine. There was 5ml of product and she would go over as much of my face, neck and chest as we had product for. The actual treatment really didn’t hurt. I noticed that my neck was much more irritated than my face and chest and in the days that followed it was insanely itchy! Apparently that is the chemical peel. Excited to see the results. The $5k is for 3 treatments. This is definitely the Mercedes of facial treatments. Updated on 17 Aug 2020: Results didn’t really hold. I have since needed sculptra and filler. This procedure wasn’t worth it.
Hi Gregarious! Thank you for your questions and photos. First, I would like to say, you have an absolutely beautiful smile and phenomenal lips! Based on the photos you've uploaded, I don't notice the asymmetry in your lips at rest- only when you smile. This would mean that one side of your muscle groups is a bit stonger than the other. This is completely common as the sides of our faces are sisters and not twins. In this case, neurotoxins such as Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau or Xeomin would be injected in a small quantity near your nose and/or above your lip to allow it to move in a similar fashion to the other side. If you would've had asymmetry when not smiling, we could've also added in some dermal filler to even out the lips but in your case, a simple 5 minute neurotoxin procedure so even everything out. Hope this helps, Dr. MK
Hi Libra, Thank you so much for your question. I have performed the Venus Viva for years with only topical numbing that I would leave for about 30 minutes. I have even treated patients without numbing at maximum settings. I think this is completely based on patient pain tolerance. I have some people who request ProNox along with their treatments but I only apply topical anesthesia. In some cases, patients can request some nerve blocks in their faces if they are truly worried but that would be more applicable to the Infini RF than the Venus Viva. I don't believe that it's necessary for twilight anesthesia but again would depend on patient preference. That provider should be willing to work with your choice of anesthesia. Hope this helps, Dr. MK
Hi! Thank you for your question. I have definitely treated patients with TCA peels immediately following a micro-needling treatment for acne scarring and have found extremely great results. The key is to make sure the provider doing it knows when to stop applying the TCA peel so as not to cause irreparable damage to the skin. Also, the TCA peel is "spicy" and especially after a micro-needling treatment, one must be prepared for a bit more discomfort. Handheld fans and ice are really great tools to help. Otherwise, alternating the treatments separately- 2 weeks apart is a wonderful choice! Hope this helps, Dr. MK
Hi Ladyluck, Thank you for your question and photos. Based on the photos you sent, there are several options that could be viable for treatment. Unfortunately, as we start aging, our fat volume and muscle volume decreases, our bone structure changes, not to mention our collagen production starts decreasing. This causes the front portions of our faces to start looking like they are falling "forward" and "down." By restoring volume in the outer portions of the face, such as in the outer aspects of the cheek and jawline, the droopiness lessens or resolves by restoring the facial structures back in their rightful places. At times, volume loss is not as necessary and then PDO threads to lift and stimulate some collagen growth in the area would be the best solution. I treat this type of concern daily and would recommend you seeing a provider who specializes in facial optimization and who will be able to tell you if you would need dermal fillers, PDO threads or a combination of both. Chemical Peels and using lasers/RF device to restore volume would also be a very viable option but take a little longer to achieve full results. Hope this helps, Dr. MK
Hi! Thank you for your question and photos. Based on the photos you provided, an option to look at would be dermal fillers to help sculpt the chin and face through facial optimization. Basically, a provider would do an extensive 3D analysis of your facial structures and then add dermal fillers strategically to help provide contouring. Kybella is great if there is some excess fat tissue in the chin area but that would need to be palpated to see if there is indeed fat present or mostly muscle. I have treated many patients with simply dermal fillers, dermal fillers and kybella, PDO threads or a combination of the three. Each person is unique and that's where seeing a qualified provider who will make sure to keep the integrity of the features you like (such as your heart-shaped frontal view) and adjust the areas you don't like. Hope this helps, Dr. MK
