Loose skin 2 years post- chin lipo and weight loss (photo)

Question

Had chin lipo and a very small chin implant in 2022. I still have loose skin under my chin. I did Morpheus after and it helped, but I lost weight after that. Should I do Morpheus again? Save up for a lower face lift? I’m 39.

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

I think that your facial balance would improve with additional horizontal projection of your chin. This would be accomplished by replacing your current chin implant with a larger one or a sliding genioplasty. This will stretch the skin further and create better definition. Depending on your skin excess, Renuvion does provide additional tightness of the neck and submental area.

I personally don’t believe that Morpheus does anything except for the very first couple of months when it feels like the skin is tighter. After about six months, everything looks considerably worse, even than prior to the treatment. In patients who have loose neck skin after weight loss and liposuction I recommend having Renuvion tissue tightening. This procedure consistently produces good results.
