Malar edema - what treatments are the most effective and least risky? (Photos)

Question

I had a lower bleph 1 year ago and the results were excellent. However I had malar edema pre-surgery and it seems to be more noticeable now. Never had fillers. No idea why I have it: could be related to my (mild) Rosacea, perhaps. I have heard of doxycycline injections, Morpheus8, steroid creams and endolift as a potential solution. Any thoughts on which is most effective/less risky?

Looks like you've done your research. I've found Morpheus8 to be helpful for patients with mild malar edema and that would be a good place for you to start. Doxycycline injections are a reasonable option, but like anything results are variable and a lot of patients get very inflamed for a week or two.

There seems to be only one way to correct Malar edema which is a hereditary condition. In the right hands, fat grafting produces extremely natural and permanent results. Your own fat has to go to the hollow areas on the cheek. Having performed this procedure many times over the last 30 years has solidified the approach.
