I am curious about what non invasive procedures are most effective for love handles and flanks? I am considering laser lipo. I have had coolsculpting in the past
Answer: Laser Liposuction is very effective for love handles For flanks and love handle sculpting laser liposuction is one the most effective treatments. It is quite a bit more effective than Coolsculpting. It is minimally invasive in that it does require cannulas that go under the skin so I dont think it can be considered non invasive.

Answer: Liposuction Dear ShoshanaRose67, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Laser Lipo for Love handles/flanks Thank you for your question. Laser Liposuction is a great option for love handles and flanks. Sometimes having cool sculpting can cause the fat to scar and be more challenging to remove. An experienced liposuction surgeon should be able to achieve good results with the laser liposuction procedure your requesting, despite the formation of scar tissue from your prior treatment. I hope that helps answer your question. Good luck on your journey!

Answer: Lovehandles and flanks Sadly, you are not alone in being disappointed with results from cool sculpting. Laser lipo is a whole different situation. As a trade off to being ok with small insertion points and being numbed, you get predictable results as the fat is being removed, and the benefit of skin tightening from the laser. Lovehandles and flanks are one of my favorite areas to treat with exciting results for every patient!

Answer: Defining invasive Without posting quality pictures we cannot begin to make an assessment. Liposuction is a surgical procedure and therefore not non-invasive. Laser liposuction is traditional liposuction with a secondary pre-or post treatment using a laser fiber connected to a steel cannula. Adding a secondary laser treatment to Liposuction adds no particular advantage over any other form of Liposuction. The only variable that matters is the candidacy of the patient and the skill and experience of the surgeon. If you’re interested in having Liposuction then start interviewing plastic surgeons who seem to have a knack for doing high-quality Liposuction work. It doesn’t matter what equipment they use what matters is that you either are or are not a good candidate and they either have or do not have skill and experience. If you don’t want a surgical procedure then you’re not gonna find many treatments that are effective for removing subcutaneous fat. Your experience with coolsculpting probably taught you that already. Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe. The difference in outcome based solely on who does the procedure is quite remarkable. To find the most talented and experienced plastic surgeon in your community I suggest scheduling multiple in person consultations. During each consultation ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures of abdominal liposuction or liposuction of the torso. Ask the provider to show examples of patients who have similar a body characteristics to your own. Young people with tight skin and modest amounts of excess subcutaneous fat and undesirable areas tend to be the best candidates. Older people with skin laxity tend to not get the same quality results. Liposuction can be done without general anesthesia instead using local anesthesia with mild sedation or just local anesthesia. For larger areas it can be moderately uncomfortable if no sedation is used. The key is always to find the most talented and experienced provider. Start the process by having multiple in person consultations. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
