Laser Treatments while Breastfeeding - what is safe to do?

Question

I've read I can't do Exilis/Thermage for stomach tightening or BBL/IPL Laser for stomach stretch marks while breastfeeding. Can't I just pump and dump for 2 days or a week? Or how about doing PRP microneedling? Is it an individual providers preference to advise against or a legit caution? If not, what treatments similar to these can be done while breastfeeding (if I pump & dump)?

Laser Treatments are not recommended while breastfeeding for a couple of reasons. One the manufactures do not recommend the use of the laser on breast feeding patients. Two there are no studies assuring the safety of the lasers, PRP or microneedling on pregnant women.  I think the likelihood of any harm to breast milk is exceedingly small from laser treatment but the prohibition will stand.

If there is no anesthetic applied there should be no reason why you cant get exilis/thermage/microneedle rf/ipl/bbl while breastfeeding. Those treatments all work locally and dont have systemic effects
