I want to get a BBL but I dont want a tummy tuck just yet. Can that be done? (photo)

BBL involves liposuction and fat grafting to the buttocks.  Fat for the Brazilian Butt Lift may come from the back, waist, love handles and elsewhere.  Liposuction can be performed from the abdomen, but risk extra sagging skin.Also, the lipoma can be removed to fix the bulge.

Dear mia729,based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. Ideal candidates are at a stable weight,  in good health , and have excess fat in some parts of the body and too little in other regions.  Gaining weight before the procedure is to no advantage and when you lose weight again the fat cells will shrink just like the donor site fat cells.  Typically, the transferred fat results in a significant increase in volume of the body site being treated.

No, you are not a candidate for only a Lipo. Why ? because abdominal muscle separation (diastasis), and excess and sagging skin in your abdomen can not be corrected but by a Tummy Tuck procedure  combine with Lipo and, if you wish, a Brazilian But Lift. Do not waste your money in a procedure that will leave you with mediocre results and dissatisfaction.

Hello Mia thank you for your question and picture. A BBL involves liposuction of any areas that would give fat. That fat is then grafted and placed to the buttock. When removing fat from the abdominal there's always that risk of having saggy skin, at times good compression helps your skin retract  but that is never guaranteed. The decision is ultimately yours, as long as you understand that you might have saggy skin on your abdominal area.If you're fine with holding off on your Tummy Tuck to remove your excess skin. You can always do the Tummy Tuck at a different time after you see how much skin retracted. Its best you consult a Board Certified Surgeon to explain your different options and go over the outcomes. Ill recommend you to discuss your options with a plastic surgeon, probably  at this time your ppriority is the BBL, but it will be better consider both procedures together, it is safe and it is a very common combination and you will get better results.

Hello and thank you for the question and the photos. Based on the photos, you would benefit from a full tummy tuck. Although no one likes scars, it can be well hidden inside the bikini line. The tummy tuck is the best way to remove the excess skin and reshape the abdomen. You would also benefit from lipo and BBL. You DON'T have to do both at the same time. You can always wait and do the tummy tuck later.  
The surgery takes about 2 hours to complete. You should factor 2 weeks off of work for recovery and about 1-2 months out of the gym. 
You should have several consultations with board certified plastic surgeons before making any decision. 
As always, it is best to be healthy, no smoking, and make sure any health conditions you have are managed by your primary care md.

Looking at your photos I might say that you´ll be a great candidate to get an entire abdomen, back and waist liposuction with BBL, this is because you have located fat that can be done with lipo.

 

Before all this, of course, you need to get a complete medical evaluation and laboratory exams to check everything is fine. Also please try to find a board certified plastic surgeon, remember that your safety, always, is going to be first.
