I had a sliding genioplasty 1.5 years ago (with my upper jaw Lefort 1 impaction) and it made my chin square and wide. In an attempt to slim it down I underwent chin bone contouring 6months ago but had no change to the width/shape but just added chin muscle irregularity. I now realize the squareness is a muscle/soft tissue issue and not a bone one which neither surgeon told me. Would reversing my genioplasty bring me back to my original and more feminine chin? If not, what are my options?

It is safe to reverse a genioplasty at 3 months, and is often easier because the bone has not fully healed yet. Most of the swelling should also be gone at 3 months, so if you are unhappy with the advancement, it most likely will not improve. If you are considering having surgery again, make...
Depending on the location, it can be done under local. It also depends on how long the hardware has been there. Bone tends to grow over them when healing, and that will involve some drilling/shaving of the bone to remove them. If you are looking for a total removal of the hardware, it may be...
Most of the swelling comes on fast (peaks at day 3) and then reduces to 80% by 2 weeks, another 10% in another 2 weeks (90% at week 4), and the last 10% over a couple of months. Most people don't notice that last 10%, so you would notice most of your outcome within a month. I would also...
