I hate the length of my chin, It’s squared and I wanna go through surgery to make it much slimmer. How long does it usually take until finally I can get the surgery done?

After an exam, simulation of desired outcome, there is no significant testing that needs to happen prior to this procedure. We do them in our surgery suite under deep sedation. Some providers may want to get an x-ray or CT, but most of the change in the shape can be evaluated with a good clinical exam. Most important part is defining what looks good to you and your provider, which a simulation can really help. A lot of providers hold time for people that want to do things on a short timeline, hard part is finding someone who does it frequently.

I’ve been surgery scheduled on the same day as a consultation and I’ve seen people wait 10 years.
Before having surgery you need to get a solid assessment and find the most talented an experienced provider to make sure you minimize the chance of being unhappy with the outcome.
That process usually involves having a few consultations and that process takes time. I recommend patients avoid virtual consultations whenever possible.
Meet with your oral surgeon or plastic surgeon, get an assessment and talk about their schedule.
Finding the right provider is usually the most important variable.
Typically rushing into surgery as a generalization is a bad idea when it comes to cosmetic surgery.
