2 days after, as I felt the botox over lip, I felt something in my throat, and difficulty swallowing. Next day my tonsil under the jaw was swollen. Head itching. Hives on legs. Pain in ears. Later hives on arms, face, body and felt like my face would burn up. Numbness and sensations in the face, lips, tongue, throat, legs and arms. 18 days later it's on going. I'm so afraid! Can I die? Can the botox be spreading and develop to botulism? Can I get an allergic chock? What to do? Use antihistamine.

Answer: Side effects of Botox Dear AnnaSweden,You need to talk to your doctor about your symptoms as soon as possible. 4 units of Botox is an extremely small dose of Botox and will not cause toxicity of your body. Signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling, hives and itching is a possible side effect, but it should not be dangerous if your doctor treats it appropriately. Numbness is not a side-effect of Botox usually.

Answer: Symptoms after Botox injections Thank you for your question. 4 units of Botox could not cause this, Botox is a localized injection and at most you would see a allergic reaction at the injection site. It sounds like you either have something else serious going on and need to see a doctor or you have allowed yourself to experience such anxiety from the injection that you are causing yourself to develop symptoms. Please consult with a doctor right away to help with your symptoms. Best Wishes,Pablo Prichard
