Air trapped after bichectomy: it is like a little bubble.

Patients with questions and concerns about their buccal fat removal  healing process should address those concerns with the surgeon that performed the operation, ideally during a follow up consultation. 

Its rare for something like this to happen, but it does happen occasionally depending on the size of the incision and approach.  However, what you have to be concerned about is if its not air but rather a small collection of fluid - this could potentially scar the buccal space or carry a risk of infection.  I suggest you discuss your concerns with your operating doc as they know exactly what was done during the procedure and what to expect based on how the procedure went.  Remember, when in doubt, contact your doc.  I hope some of this helps!
