Will getting buccal fat removal make lips a bit wider?

Question

When I press down on the sides of my mouth my lips get a bit wider because theres some fat deposits around the corners of my mouth. If not, would lip injections make my lips a bit wider? My lips are really full in the middle but not on the sides.

Buccal fat removal does remove the fullness of the lower anterior cheeks (chubby cheeks) but does not affect the shape of or size of the lips. Therefore buccal fat removal won't make the lips a bid wider.

Dear  luluys449,buccal fat removal will not affect your lips. I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns.
I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months.Daniel Barrett, MD

Removal of fat from this area will not change your lips and anyway, unfortunately. The best option is to use some filler.
