Nose to drop after closed revision rhino depending on how scars heal?

I had closed revision rhino 3 days ago, where my nose was shortened by 4mm using 3 sutures (surgeon measured 4mm during the op). My nose is still taped up, but i love how high it sits. The 4 mm lift was exactly what it needed. However, my surgeon told me that depending on how the scars from the sutures heal, my nose could drop by 1 mm. Will this happen within the next couple of months, or over years? and is there anything I can do to prevent it? thanks Docs!

I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your rhinoplasty results, but I'm glad to know that you understand that the results, at 4 months post-op, are not yet final. With that said, in response to your question about the earliest time to undergo rhinoplasty revision, most plastic surgeons...
The photographs demonstrate a very acceptable nose especially since it's been done 3 times in the past. Due to the complicated and intricate nature of the cartilaginous/ bony anatomy of the nose, and the unpredictability of the healing process, it is best to leave well enough alone.
