Most people I see who have had this have a flat abdomen straight away.... is this how it will stay, has my surgeon not taken enough out? Thank you :) Here is a before and 4 days post op pic
Answer: Vaser liposuction - post op swelling normal It is expected to have some temporary swelling after Vaser. Everyone's body responds/heals differently as to how long this will be.Remember, Vaser liposuction removes fat under the skin, it does not flatten muscles, internal fat etc so if you relax your tummy, it will appear somewhat rounded afterwards. Close follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended.

Answer: VASER liposuction abdomen post-operative edema post-op VASER swelling post-operative VASER garment VASER lymphatic massage Hi Sward1987, Thank you very much for your question regarding the swelling of your abdomen four days after VASER liposuction. I believe the swelling shown in your pictures is due to normal postoperative swelling after VASER HI-DEF abdomen liposuction. Swelling after any surgical procedure is normal. I believe with VASER HI-DEF abdomen, initially, there is more swelling than with traditional liposuction. Swelling dissipates approximately 4 to 6 weeks after VASER HI-DEF abdomen. To minimize swelling after VASER HI-DEF abdomen, I would suggest a tight compression garment. I would suggest you wear this compression garment for a minimum of six weeks. Also I believe Topi-foam or Epi-Foam decreases bruising and swelling after VASER HI-DEF abdomen. Usually, this foam is placed when the VASER HI-DEF procedure is completed and before you awaken from anesthesia. I believe the foam aids in minimizing bruising and swelling. I would also suggest you start lymphatic massage. Lymphatic massage can be done at your plastic surgeon's office or with a trained lymphatic massage therapist. Arnica tablets or tea may also decrease swelling. I hope that I answered your questions regarding swelling after VASER HI-DEF abdomen. I believe that you just have normal, postoperative swelling. If you have any more questions regarding the VASER HI-DEF abdomenprocedure, please contact my office. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.

Answer: Vaser Liposculpture Vaser is a procedure that works great but you will not see a good result for at least 1 month (4 months will give you a good idea how it worked). Also remember there are 2 kinds of fat, subcutaneous and visceral (inside the body which needs weight loss). You might be seeing the visceral fat on the post op picture. Ask your doctor.

Answer: Belly Sticking Out 4 Days Post Vaser Lipo Swelling after #Vaser liposuction is not uncommon. Gentle #walking may increase circulation and help to alleviate swelling. But you must not strain or push yourself. Also, if you were provided a post-procedure #garment, be sure you are wearing it until prescribed otherwise by your doctor. The purpose of the post-procedure #garment is to provide some gentle #support and to reduce swelling. If it feels too tight or causes pain, take it off. Many patients wear the #elastic garment for several weeks after procedures, as directed by their doctor; some choose to wear it longer for several months for comfort. The final results of the procedure are typically most noticeable 2-4 months following the #Vaser. So, you must have patience. The swelling will gradually diminish while the contours of the treated area(s) can continue to improve up to one year post procedure; becoming more apparent in appearance. If you have concerns about your healing, or pain that you question to be unusual, it is important to call your plastic surgeon to discuss these further asked to be examined.

Answer: Too soon to judge Hi,Most patients look more swollen after the procedure and being that you are 4 days post procedure you are way too early to be concerned. Everyone swells at a different rate, some more than others. It will take a good 4-6 months before you get to your end point. In the mean time it is a good idea to get lymphatic massages which will help decrease the fluid in the regions where you had vaser completed. Also, I would recommend using your compression garment around the clock, until you see your surgeon for your post op!
