Swimming 18-19 days after FUE hair transplant. Is it ok to swim in the sea and put my head in the water?

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.  Swimming after two weeks should be fine.

At this point it is perfectly fine to swim in the ocean.As a matter of fact,salt water is very good for the grafts.

We tell patients that after the 4th day ie on day 5 the grafts are stable and you can do most activities.  However, for extreme exercise we recommend patients refrain for 7 to 10 days. As for submerging in salt water, one should wait until all scabs are gone and skin has healed......perhaps 10 to 14 days depending on your individual healing ability. Lastly, the sun....recommend you wear a hat for the next 6 months to avoid damage to healing skin. If swimming, swimmers cap is ok or spray sun block applied every 2 hours without fail.  Make sure it is SPF 30 or greater.
