Is injecting Sculptra superficially and not deeply safe? Will the Sculptra migrate?

I saw a Dr in a London clinic for Scupltra injections in cheeks due to weight loss following pregnancy. He said injecting Sculptra superficially & not deeply will give me instant full cheeks that will will stay for up to 2 years. Is this safe? Will the Sculptra migrate? Thank you

I would recommend injecting Sculptra deeply to volumize the cheeks. Multiple sessions will be needed and results will show gradually over 3-6 months. It can last 2-5 years depending on the patient. Injecting too superficially or with improper dilutions can lead to nodules. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician. Best wishes.

When Scuptra is being used to promote added volume to an area such as the cheeks, I believe it is best to inject it deeply rather than superficially.  This injection should be done below the dermal layer.

I would recommend going to someone who has been doing sculptra for awhile.. Sculptra is a great product when used appropriately. Sculptra should never be injected anywhere near the eye area where the skin is thin. Sculptra should also be injected deep to the skin and evenly distributed for best results and only with a cannula. When a person sees volume diminution in the face, fat grafting is the best option to achieve natural a near permanent results.
