Second pediatric ptosis surgery?

My daughter had ptosis surgery at 5. Now 9 and her eyes are definitely far from symmetrical. It bothers her quite a bit and she is teased. Do I need to seek a pediatric plastic surgeon, pediatric ophthalmologist or just a general plastic surgeon? The first surgery was done by a oculoplastic surgeon who performed “some” pediatric surgeries. He definitely did not take enough and I’m really hoping this will be a safe and effective surgery for my daughter.

Although muller's/conjunctival resection has a lower chance of creating dry eye than levator advancement or resection, there is still a possibility as the eye is more open with more exposure to tear film evaporation.

Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photos. Your mild ptosis could probably be corrected with with minimal surgery. You should be evaluated in person by an experienced oculoplastic surgeon who can guide you in choosing the best option. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photos. The ptosis appears mild and might be too minimal for surgery. If this is the case, then specific eyedrops might be beneficial. Make an appointment for in person consultation with an experienced oculoplastic surgeon. Good luck!

Based on the photos, you do have eyebrow ptosis which would benefit from a brow lift from an aesthetic point. Your photos are not ideal for evaluating eyelid ptosis, however, as you are looking down. You need to look directly into the camera lens if you are doing a selfie, not at the screen.
