How long should you wait in between each fraxel 1550 laser treatment? (photo)

Standard Fraxel protocol is eight passes during a single treatment. Fraxel treatments should be spaced about 4-6 weeks apart to allow for proper collagen remodeling which is the key to tightening the skin and soften unwanted texture. Patients will achieve their optimal results about 4-6 months after the last Fraxel laser treatment.  Patients may also benefit from other treatments, such as Botox or Filler, to further reduce the appearance of unwanted fine lines and wrinkles. 
Seek treatment by an experienced board-certified facial plastic surgeon, general plastic surgeon, or dermatologist.

I recommend following up with your Doctor about their recommended timeline. Most Doctor's will recommend waiting 4-6 weeks. Keep in mind, it will take several weeks for laser results to settle.  I always combine lasers with microneedling/prp for more robust outcomes. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Fraxel laser 1550 and 1927 wavelengths are usually combined in one treatment for pigmentation and wrinkle reduction/collagen stimulation.  Usually 4 passes on one setting and 4 passes on the other.  Wait 6 weeks in between treatments for best results and keep your treatments on a regular schedule.  This is an excellent laser and will give fantastic results if done properly.
