Tried IPL laser for my discoloration on my legs with age spots it did noting. I didn't even turn pink. Now he's wanting to try Fraxel for the discoloration and another laser for the spots. Will this work? How long is recovery? Will my bottom part of my leg( that's what I'm having done) match my top afterwards?

Answer: Fraxel for leg pigmentation Pigmentation on the legs is not as easy to remove as on the face. Fraxel will work, but it is time consuming and therefore expensive to perform. Fraxel charges the doctor to use the device based on energy used. I try to disuade patients from doing this procedure because it is not worth the effort. I promote peels and products for the extremities mostly. If there is a few isolated dark spots, those can be treated with a QS laser or Pico laser.

Answer: Fraxel for Discoloration on the Legs Fraxel will definitely work well for this discoloration on the face, arms, or legs. However, it generally takes three sessions to remove the sun damage on the legs spaced one month apart. Please consult an expert in Fraxel for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
