I’m sorry to say, but “Fraxel Facial” just sounds like a marketing term to get people in the door. Usually Fraxel Re:Store takes at least three sessions to create a significant rejuvenation. Its effects go far beyond that which a facial could offer, including significant new collagen production. Fraxel takes a great deal of expertise to administer correctly. Settings must be adjusted based on each patient’s skin tone and needs. Don’t trust your face to an amateur. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who has verified great results rejuvenating the face with Fraxel.
This will give some improvement. Fraxel or Co2 are best for resurfacing. I always combine lasers with microneedling/prp for more robust outcomes. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. The benefit of a Fraxel laser depends not only on the number of passes, but also on the treatment level the laser is set on as well as the depth of penetration of the laser which is determined by the millijoules used. You can't go by just the number of passes. By using only two passes, the highest percentage of the actual skin surface that would be treated wound only be about 5-6%, so it is unlikely that there would be much benefit. I would be wary of a Fraxel treatment done in spa.
Fraxel Re:Store Dual can help resolve the age spots and discoloration on your legs. It takes about a 2 weeks to see results and sometimes needs to be combined with a Q-switched alexandrite laser for best results. You also may need more than one treatment as the legs improve and heal slower t...
Not only do I think Fraxel is an excellent anti-aging therapy for my male patients, I use it myself! It’s a great way to get rid of hyperpigmentation and other forms of sun damage, including fine lines and crepey skin. It stimulates the production of new collagen to help your skin repair i...
After one month the effect of the Fraxel should have dissipated. The Fraxel laser does not leave "squares" behind as it is a roller and not that type of handpiece. I suggest you consult a board certified dermatologist to see what kind of laser was used and evaluate your healing. Best, Dr. Green
